Location & Program Features

Buenos Aires, Argentina is a world capital known as the “Paris of South America” because of its art, architecture, cafés, and distinctly European feel. It is composed of 48 districts or barrios, each with its own personality. The ones we will visit are: Microcentro (downtown), home of the Presidential Palace, the Cathedral, and other historic landmarks; San Telmo, known for its colonial style houses and cobblestone streets; La Boca, a colorful neighborhood along the river; Palermo, a hip residential barrio with lots of small parks, restaurants and bars; our home base Recoleta, the most chic neighborhood with its French-style architecture, large parks, excellent restaurants, and extensive cultural offerings; Finally,Puerto Madero, modern and upscale district, transformed from old port docks into a chic area with luxury apartments, multinational corporation buildings,  sophisticated restaurants, an active nightlife and it features the iconic "Puente de la Mujer".
